I love cake day. It truly is one of my favorite days of the entire month...and the fact that it occurs 11 out of 12 months of the year makes it all the better. As I sit her digesting the nasty Stouffer's or Lean Cuisine thing that I just warmed up for myself I just wish it was cake day, because then there would at least be something to look forward to this afternoon. My office has also recently discovered cake outside of the Giant Eagle realm of baking. Now there are fillings! Last week there was a vanilla cheesecake filling...and in June it was strawberry (if there are only 1 or 2 birthdays in a month we try to match the filling to the lucky girl's tastes). Mmmm. Sadly, but not too sadly, during the glorious month of August (my birth month) there are about 8 people that share in the glory with me so I am sure that the cake filling will not be favored by all...but there is always the two options of ice cream.....
I am partially regretting writing this blog because now I think I am going to have to go and see if there is any left over ice cream from last week just to quench my craving (or is it the baby in my belly's craving?). I hope there is some birthday cake ice cream left YUM!
